S.J. Winston is a professional preponderer of paranormal presences with a proven proficiency in propagating preternatural power. Yes, harnessing energy from ecto-waste (or spooky dookie, as we calls it), his proprietary scream engine technologies are powered by this safe and sustainable ghoul fuel. This allows him continue his research into the “paranordinary”, documented in his first book, “S.J. Winston’s Spookity Compendium of Creeps & Creatures”.
He is also the founder and guardian of the Spook Troops, an after-school Spirit Guide program in the Lower Creepmore Valley, aimed at hands-on learning. Members gain otherworldly experience as they help identify, understand, and in the rarest of circumstances, relocate creepity beings. Only card-carrying Spook Troops can safely* encounter monsters, and earn “Scaredy Badges” through demonstrating monster empathy and knowledge. And once approved, certified Spook Troops can fill out the appropriate forms to request permission to inquire about getting a chance to use Winston's ghostly gear!
As part of the Spook Troop spirit guide program, Winston also often employs, or offers to relocate and rehouse wayward weirds and shiftless souls not quite yet ready to move on back across the veil. "We’re Underworld Union Friendly! We always treat remains humanely!"
His home Winston Manor, which houses his research facility, also acts as a Historical Marker (the first built residence in Creepmoor) just outside of Easton. "It's brimming with veil energies! Spookity!"
